Our restorative services include composite (“tooth-colored”) fillings, same-day crowns, dentures & partials, bridges, endodontics (root canal therapy), implants, extractions, and bone grafts. Restorative dentistry is used to repair damaged teeth, and replace missing teeth.
Endodontics (root canal therapy)
Root canals (endodontic therapy) are used to save an infected tooth. This procedure cleans out the inside of the tooth where the infection is, then seals and protects it so you can keep your natural tooth. Root canals are used to relieve pain caused by infections, and are a painless process with the use of local anesthetic. Specialized techniques are used to make sure comfort is maintained throughout the process.
Same-Day Crowns
With same-day CEREC® crowns, you can get a natural-looking, custom-made crown in just one visit! If a crown is diagnosed, we use advanced technology to design and create your crown right here in the office. This eliminates the need for temporary crowns and minimizes the amount of treatment time. The crown will be made to match your natural tooth color and fit perfectly, giving you a quick and comfortable solution to protect and restore your tooth.
Implants
A dental implant is a long-term solution to replace a missing tooth. Our office offers surgically-guided implants for accuracy and comfort. Surgical guides are custom-made using 3-D imaging technology, and they are used to place the implant perfectly in place so that your permanent restoration is stable and functional.
In order to ensure ample healing time, the dental implant process typically takes months to a year. The length of treatment depends on multiple factors that will be discussed with you prior to treatment.
The implant itself is a small titanium post that acts like a natural tooth root, and it’s placed into your jawbone after the tooth is extracted. In most cases, a bone graft is required after the tooth is extracted in order to ensure that your gums maintain the necessary amount of space for the implant. Once the implant heals, we attach a custom-made crown on top that looks and feels just like a real tooth. Implants are strong, stable, and permanent, giving you the confidence to eat, talk, and smile without worry.
Bone Grafts
If you’re considering an implant or have lost bone due to gum disease, a bone graft can help rebuild the bone in your jaw. This procedure involves placing a small amount of bone material in the area where your bone has weakened or shrunk. Over time, this helps your bone grow stronger, providing a solid foundation for dental implants or maintaining the shape of your jaw. It also works to prevent surrounding teeth from shifting and losing bone by maintaining the natural space in your jaw.
